CarpetSaqqara

Handmade in Egypt since the first thread

Heirlooms woven by hand, from the loom of Saqqara to your home

One-of-a-kind Egyptian rugs and kilims, woven knot by knot by master artisans — each piece signed with its weaver's story.

Saqqara

Twenty minutes from the Step Pyramid, looms have clattered in courtyard workshops for generations. This is where every CarpetSaqqara piece is born — knot by knot, by name-signed hands.

01

The wool

Highland fleece, washed in the canal and spun by hand. We leave most of it undyed — the sand and cream tones are the sheep's own.

02

The dye

Indigo fermented for nine days; madder root for terracotta. Vat dyeing is slow chemistry — and the reason the colour outlives trends.

03

The loom

Wooden frames older than their weavers. A 2×3 metre rug holds over a million knots and more than a thousand hours of one person's attention.

One rug. One pair of hands. One story.

No two pieces repeat. Every rug ships with its signed provenance card — weaver, village, hours, materials — and nothing to pay at your door.

The founding collection is on the loom
